Dua Lipa (born in London) is an English artist and singer. She was born on August 22 1995 within London United Kingdom. After working as a fashion model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in 2017. It peaked at 3rd place at the U.K. Albums Chart and released eight singles, including Be The One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. top-ranked single New Rules which peaked at 6th on the charts in the United States. Lipa has been awarded Brit Awards for 2018 for two categories: British Female Artist and British Breakthrough Act. In addition, her album's platinum certification is recognized throughout the world. Dua lipa was born 22nd August 1995, in London with Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. The Lipa's grandparents are historians. There are two sisters, Rina as well as Gjin. Lipa learned guitar playing as well as sing under the guidance of her father Oda. He is the singer/guitarist who leads Kosovan's rock group Oda. The band was heavily influenced by their father's music, which included his music compositions and songs like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began to sing at the age of six years old. In the year she turned nine years old, she began singing at the Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa recorded If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera to be uploaded on YouTube. Lipa signed her first record agreement in 2014 with Warner Bros. Records. In August 2015, her debut single New Love came out.
