In 2015 at 19 she debuted her first single Here. The track received praise by music critics as well as listeners. The song peaked at number 19 at both Canadian Hot 100 as well as Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the song as one of 2015's Best Songs. That same year, she debuted her album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being the first of five tracks that peaked at Billboard charts including The Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. It was a special track because, based on her interview with Rap-Up that she conducted, many of her listeners were able to connect to her experiences of discovering their own love and rethinking their beliefs about her. Cara includes messages of kindness and loving yourself into her music. Cara has struggled with anxiety and insomnia that has influenced her music. Reuters stated that she calls the album "half tumultuous, half perfected". The singer says that she found her growth in therapy. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11th, 1996. When she was just 10 years old, her parents gifted her a guitar that became the starting point of her passion for music. She started covering her favourite songs at age 13, to prove to everyone that she could sing and had the courage necessary to be a singer. Sweater Weather became her most famous album. A record label, EP Entertainment, noticed her and allowed her write songs.
