Her second most overall score of all skiers, male and female. Hers is among the most skilled skiers of all time and is the most loved skiing athlete in America. United States. Caroline Vonn, also known by the name Lindsey Vonn, is an American World Cup alpine racer who is a member of the US Ski Team. There have been four occasions she was named the winner of the World Cup overall competition. She's one of the most famous athletes in American History. There are only six females who have won every one of the five World Cup alpine ski events. All told, she has achieved the prestigious 82 World Cup championships. The top skier on the planet, and most successful American racer in the sport of skiing has announced her retirement following their participation in the World Championship in Sweden. After suffering from a series of illnesses, the four-time World Cup champion has decided to take a break. The announcement of her retirement came via social media.
