Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, an American-Canadian singer and songwriter. She has released more than 20 albums. DiFranco's songs are classified as folk or alternative rock. However, they also are influenced by hip-hop music, jazz and punk. Ani DiFranco is widely recognized as the feminist's icon and Grammy-winning performer, is regarded as to be the first pioneer in DIY music. She was among the first musicians to start her own label in the year 1990. DiFranco was born on 23rd September, 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as well as Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father was Italian descent as was her mother born in Montreal. Ani Difrasco wrote and sang the song "32 Flavors". The song can be found on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani diFranco. It was released in 1996.
